Art events at Studio Valeria

October-December 2014. Istra organised a set of new workshops titled Art & Wellness based on the use of creative forms including sound and movement, script and text, drawing and visual art, performance and acting out for a group of 6 participants. Workshops in glass - As one of regular educational events, Istra organised a set of advanced level workshops. Participants had an opportunity of learning some new possibilities in forming glass. Advanced workshops as well as workshops for beginners will run throughout 2015.

 Art exhibition "Painting in a Chair"- This work was carried out with a group of residents from a home for mentally ill adults together with volunteer artists from Studio Valeria.

International art event

Kranj in Slovenia, 07/10/2014. Istra contributed to the 3rd International exhibition in various collage techniques together with 120 artists from 12 countries shown in over 20 galleries in and around Kranj.
Istra was awarded a prestigious recognition for her work in a form of miniature books (12/12cm).

The Map project in Medulin, Croatia

New glass in pate-de-vere

Bebington Central Library

September - The Map Project exhibition can be seen at Bebington Central Library until Saturday 20th. September. This travelling show has been to Croatia, Montenegro, Wirral Festival of Firsts in Hoylake and Hope University in Liverpool this year.
For this venue there is also related work by the local artists involved Istra Toner Helen Smith Viv Netherwood Yvonne Body and Judith Railton

The Map Project at Liverpool Indi Biennial

July-August 2014, Cornerstone gallery in Liverpool. The project was shown as a part of Independences  Liverpool Biennial in the most attractive Cornerstone gallery space. The map project - exhibitions

The map project is an international cross-cultural art project in textile. Participating countries include groups of artists from England, Croatia, Montenegro and Australia. The project has been shown first during May 2014 in Tivat, and Podgorica in Montenegro; then during June in European Centre for Peace and Development in Pula, Croatia.
