Studio Valeria - Spring exhibition

22 March 2013, Studio Valeria in Medulin, Croatia hosted the first art event of the year to mark the International Women's Day and coming of Spring. The theme of this exhibition was "Me and my home". Besides local artists, members of Studio Valeria society other contributors include guest artists from Slovenia and students from a local school.

 

The World Museum, Liverpool

2012-13. Istra is contributing a number of pieces of enamel painted and printed vases to an exhibition of regional art and applied art organised by "With these hands" group from Oxton, U.K.

Wonky Canvas in Liverpool

25 January 2013. First exhibition of the year at Egg gallery in Liverpool. Istra is exhibiting her glass art together with a group of regional artists. The exhibition will be open until 17 Feb.

Istra contributed to Contemporary Glass Society exhibition at Barrowford in Pendle Heritage Centre Art Gallery showing the latest works of top glass artists from across the north of England.

Art in glass

October-December 2012. at Studio Valeria in Medulin, Croatia. Following a fruitful September master class with Susan S. Amend and Jeff Zimmer at the North Lands Creative Glass Centre in Scotland, Istra made a number of new pieces of glass inspired by the local scenery. Glass panels were painted, fired and finished off with engraving. Here are few examples,

 

Interpretations of Hilbre

05/10/2012, Gallery Staacks, West Kirby, U.K. is showing Istra’s latest jewellery as a part of 10 years on Staacks celebration of the theme of “Interpretations of Hilbre”. Jewellery is inspired by the local seascape and is made in new style using Welsh seashell and silver wire.
